Wrenchers™ Body Products Launches Kickstarter Campaign

Plant-based cleanser tough enough to remove permanent ink but easy on skin, the earth

FALLBROOK, Calif., April 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — For decades, Ed Buscis scrubbed his hands with harsh chemicals at work in his father's printing business, unaware he was relying on potentially dangerous substances. When he discovered the truth about the chemicals he'd been using, Buscis became determined to find a better way to get the dirt off. He tried every cleanser he could find, and all of them dried and cracked his skin. Few could even hold their own against the grease and grime Buscis's hands accumulated at work and during the hours he spent working on classic cars. It was time for a completely new approach–and Buscis rose to the challenge. His Wrenchers™ Body Products (http://www.wrenchersworks.com) are plant-based, eco-friendly, and tough enough to remove everything from motor oil to permanent marker . . . all while being adult and kid friendly. There's just one thing keeping Wrenchers out of the dirty hands of hard-working people everywhere: production funding. But a new Kickstarter campaign aims to fix that.

Buscis launched the Wrenchers™ Kickstarter campaign (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/832386400/wrenchers-skin-cleanser-we-fight-dirty-skin-that-i) with the goal of raising enough capital to bring Wrenchers to market. Development of the first two products is finished; 60% of Kickstarter funds will be used for manufacturing Wrenchers for home and pro use. 30% of the money raised through Kickstarter will go towards new product development, and 10% will pay for marketing. Anyone who supports Wrenchers through Kickstarter will receive a reward ranging from a personal note from Buscis to free products, Wrenchers apparel, sneak peaks, and more.

Right now, Buscis's main concern is making Wrenchers available nationwide through WrenchersWorks.com. He's in it for the green–but not the paper kind. From the beginning, Buscis wanted Wrenchers to be a different kind of cleanser, environmentally sound not just in its plant-based ingredients but in its manufacturing as well. Every bottle of Wrenchers bears a recycled paper label printed with water-based ink and contains cleanser formulated at a solar-powered facility.

So it's green, but how does it clean? Like a champ. As Buscis developed Wrenchers, he threw every kind of dirt at it he could think of. Wrenchers beta testing included painters, gardeners, commercial printers, guys like Buscis who spent a lot of time under the hood of a car, and all different kinds of dirt and hard-to-clean substances like nail polish and permanent marker. Wrenchers handled it all with powerful, effective cleaning that was gentle enough to use on most skin types.

"Wrenchers Body Products is committed to the belief that phenomenal products do not have to come at the expense of our planet," Buscis stated. "Products like Wrenchers truly have the power to change the globe."

If the Wrenchers Kickstarter campaign can raise $25,000 by May 25, 2015, Wrenchers will move into production. The company estimates it will have products ready for purchase by September 2015.

"At this point we're really hoping folks will come to our Kickstarter page, take a look at what we're offering to our supporters, watch the video to see what we're all about, and feel moved to become part of our quest to make better products for a healthier planet," said Buscis. "We are working to provide a product that is safe for everyone, works harder than any other skin cleanser, and does something the others don't: minimizes our carbon footprint. With the help of Kickstarter supporters, that goal is within reach."
