A rougarou is a Cajun werewolf. An eccentric New Orleans researcher has kept one locked in his basement freezer for forty years, trying to prevent an outbreak of lycanthropy. His efforts prove futile when a brutal killing mars the tranquility of a south Louisiana monastery that doubles as a film industry retreat. A rougarou — maybe more than one — is the suspected killer, monks themselves perhaps the changelings.<\/p>\n

Second only to Hollywood, Louisiana is a movie-making Mecca. When a powerful producer suspects something supernatural has killed one of the industry's biggest stars, he hires Wyatt Thomas to investigate. Before Wyatt can solve the mystery, he must first survive the claws and fangs of a rougarou, and a hurricane taking direct aim at the monastery and New Orleans.<\/p>\n
