Everybody Wins! USA Awarded Expansion Grant from University of Phoenix

BOSTON, Dec. 17, 2009 — Everybody Wins! USA, a nationally recognized literacy and mentoring organization, has been awarded a three-year, $250,000 grant from the University of Phoenix. The grant will expand educational opportunities for low-income youth and create more literacy-related volunteer opportunities for University of Phoenix campuses by replicating the successful Everybody Wins! Power Lunch program to three cities where University of Phoenix has campuses, including Phoenix, Arizona.

"Everybody Wins! USA is thrilled to partner with the University of Phoenix to bring the joy of books and reading to more low-income children around the country," said Rich Greif, the National Executive Director of Everybody Wins! USA. "Several University of Phoenix campuses are already volunteering with our local affiliates and we look forward to creating more volunteer opportunities for University of Phoenix campuses around the country."

"We are honored to be working with Everybody Wins! USA," said Ayla Dickey, the University Vice President for Public Affairs and Corporate Social Responsibility and the President of its Foundation. "Providing funding and resources to organizations that improve academic achievement, particularly at an early age, is a key part of our Foundation's mission and the Everybody Wins! project is set up and aimed towards meeting these important goals."
