A trusted hospital provider in Texas for over 75 years to offer Rehabilitation and Long Term Acute Care on one campus in Victoria, Texas
CAMP HILL, Pa., May 29, 2012 — Warm Springs' parent company Post Acute Medical (the "Company") today announced plans to build a 33,248-square-foot, 26-bed freestanding hospital. Funding for the project has closed and construction will begin shortly on land adjacent to the current Specialty Hospital located at 102 Medical Drive. The new hospital will employ over one-hundred people, which is good news for Victoria. A ground breaking ceremony is scheduled for June 14, 2012 from 5:00pm – 6:30pm.
The addition of inpatient rehabilitation services will further expand the delivery of care to patients requiring more therapy in a hospital setting to ensure maximum function and rehabilitation. With the expansion scheduled to be completed by QTR 2, 2013, patients will benefit from multiple care levels on one campus: Inpatient Rehabilitation, Long Term Acute Care (LTACH) with High Observation Unit, Comprehensive Wound Care (inpatient and outpatient), as well as Outpatient Rehabilitation. The existing hospital currently operating as a Long Term Acute Care Hospital for the medically complex will move to the new hospital which will be built specifically with a fully equipped high observation unit for ventilator and medically complex patients. The existing hospital will become home to the rehabilitation hospital, specifically equipped with a spacious rehabilitation gym and multiple treatment areas, an activities of daily living kitchen as well as a therapeutic pool. The ideal hospital setting and services for both rehabilitation and medically complex are soon to be available on one convenient campus.
