In 2013, Vista Solar installed the largest privately owned commercial solar power system in Fremont, Calif. Using such high-efficiency panels allowed the building owner to maximize underutilized roof space by installing solar, and see electricity savings of nearly $250,000 in the first year. The system is expected to generate savings of more than $7,000,000 over its 25-year lifetime.
