The new feature, which works with credit and debit cards, allows bidders to gather up their purchases and be quickly on their way at the conclusion of an auction. In addition to reducing wait times, express checkout also reduces risk for organizations and their supporters by holding credit and debit card information in an encrypted format at all times.
As a PCI Level 1 Compliant Service Provider, Vanco Services has protections in place for cardholder data that are consistent with the industry's most strict privacy and security standards. Auction organizers must enter a user ID and password to access the service. And, after capturing a bidder's credit or debit card information, event personnel are limited to viewing only the last four digits on the account.
