Sharon (Wagenaar) Bomgaars was an imaginative woman. She home-schooled her four children through the 12th grade. Her great love for books inspired her to read to her children constantly, and one of her life goals was to capture the childhood stories of her children into a unique book of her own. "The Best Clubhouse Ever," which is based on true events, is the realization of that dream. Sharon completed this book shortly before passing away in 2002. Her struggle with cancer was chronicled in her journals, later published as "In His Feathers: The Letters and Journals of Sharon Bomgaars."
