Project to Develop mm-Wave Highly Efficient Switched-Mode Amplifiers for Electronically Scanned Transmit Arrays
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., May 23, 2007 — TiaLinx, Inc., a developer of Wafer Scale Integrated Radio and Antenna Array, today announced that it has been awarded a Phase I from the ONR. The objective of this program with the ONR is to address implementation of TiaLinx's propriety switched power amplifier designs, focusing on real time topography imaging of objects, high-resolution texture information gathering and synthetic aperture radar imaging. TiaLinx's wafer scale integrated solution offers low power, and substantially reduced mass and volume. Compared to the conventional phased array technology, the solution provides orders of magnitude reduction in cost, weight, and volume, while substantially enhancing the performance based on manufacturing precision.
