TiaLinx, Inc. Announces Launch of the Eagle5-BH, Precision Buried Underground Sensor for Movement Tracking

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., April 27, 2010 — TiaLinx, Inc., a developer of mm-wave integrated radio and antenna arrays, today announced launch of the Eagle5-BH, a small form factor remote sensor.

"The lightweight, ultra-wideband (UWB), multi-Gigahertz RF imager is capable of probing underground movements and uplinking the data remotely to a monitoring station. Eagle5 outperforms present Ground Penetrating Radar technology by using a very small amount of transmitted signals, presenting the position and trace of a moving object in a tunnel or underground passage," commented Dr. Fred Mohamadi, Founder and CEO of TiaLinx. "The Eagle5-BH takes advantage of TiaLinx's patent portfolio and requires no cooling system. The cluster of these sensors can be monitored remotely for long periods of time. The sensors are deployed to detect sub-terrestrial activities; hence, it is a great asset for law enforcement agencies."

The enhanced small-footprint device is also mountable on robots and tripods. It can be deployed to detect tunnels, stand-off surveillance of desired premises for motion tracking, and scanning for detection of implanted metallic objects. In addition to a multitude of applications in various areas of conflict, the system is suitable to prevent illegal human trafficking and for the surveillance of illegal activities in underground cavities.
