Defense lodging company announces new corporate housing providers for government and DoD travel
WASHINGTON, Oct. 26, 2010 — TDY Lodging announced three new corporate housing providers to market through their Defense Lodging System, which will add more than 4,000 apartments near Annapolis MD, Tampa FL and the Washington DC Metro region.
The newest corporate housing providers added to their Defense Lodging System include Post Properties, Annapolis Accommodations, and Attache Property Management LLC. All three have been long-term providers of government and defense lodging. Reservations will now be available directly through the DoD lodging portal managed by TDY Lodging.
Military veteran Matthew Foster, founder of TDY Lodging, told reporters, "The recent addition of these corporate housing providers will enhance their exposure to government travelers. Defense travelers in turn will benefit by having more choices when reserving furnished apartments and corporate house rentals through TDY Lodging, most of which will be available at or below 2011 GSA Per Diem Rates."
The recent addition of nationwide Post Properties will net the largest increase by providing off-base MacDill AFB Lodging at four apartment communities. Attache Property Management LLC now features more than 100 furnished properties through TDY Lodging, including lodging near the Pentagon and nearby military installations at featured Washington DC locations. Annapolis Accommodations now offers Fort Meade Lodging and corporate housing near the U.S. Naval Academy. With the addition of over 5,000 apartments, TDY Lodging anticipates a significant cost savings to the U.S. Government by enabling government travelers to obtain lodging through the Defense Lodging System without the government having to pay for the use of a third party reservation system.
