Tango Card(TM), the Simplest, Most Complete Way to Manage and Use 100% of Gift Card Value, Expands Service

Consumer-focused approach advances unique platform

SEATTLE, Dec. 1, 2009 — Tango Card(TM) today announced an expansion of its services. The company now offers automated real-time gift card balance updates for most popular retailers. From their accounts, members click "update balances" and watch their card balances update in seconds. Additionally, members can now click "view charts" to see their gift card information presented graphically. This visual dashboard is intended to help members actively manage and use their card value. Finally, members can now click directly to retailer Web sites from their Tango Card account to buy the products and services they want.

"Throughout 2009, we have received helpful feedback from members that use our Web and iPhone services. This service expansion is a direct result of this feedback," said David Leeds, CEO and Founder of Tango Card. "The new functionality is consistent with our mission to help people use 100% of the value on their gift cards using simple technology solutions."

"Finally, real-time balance updates!" said Joyce R., a Tango Card member and beta customer in Michigan. "Having this capability enhances the value I receive from Tango Card. I continue to use the Web site and iPhone app." Becky Y. from San Francisco said, "The direct links to merchant Web sites is fantastic. "I have had a wine.com gift card sitting on my desk since last year. When I received my email update from Tango Card, I accessed my account, clicked directly to wine.com's site, and used all of the value on my card to buy some great wine. The experience with Tango Card and the retailer was fantastic."

The new functionality from Tango Card coincides with an important time in the industry. "This is the holiday season and the majority of gift cards are bought now. In the last week alone, dozens of articles in publications ranging from KOMOnews.com, Tulsa World, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, SFGate, KansasCity.com, and The Washington Post have appeared, essentially alerting consumers to the risks of buying and then losing gift card value. This issue has persisted for years, and consumers and retailers are looking for simple, commercial solutions that address this unfortunate reality. This is precisely what we are addressing at Tango Card, and we hope 2009 marks the last year that we see the status quo around unused gift card value."
