Tango Card(TM) Launches iPhone Application, Ambitious Goal to Save Consumers Billions of Dollars

Application is the first in a suite of tools being introduced by the company

SEATTLE, Sept. 24, 2009 — Tango Card(TM) today announced the launch of its free Tango Card for iPhone application. The application provides a simple and intuitive way for people to get the maximum value and enjoyment from the gift cards they buy or receive. The iPhone application is one way Tango Card makes gift cards more valuable to consumers and merchants.

With Tango Card for iPhone, individuals capture and store all key gift card information in one place. Once captured, the user always has gift card information at his or her fingertips. Individuals can use this information when shopping online or in stores, they can easily check gift card balances manually using information provided by Tango Card, or they can ask Tango Card to provide card balance updates by email. The user can even use his or her information stored with Tango Card to work with an issuing merchant to replace a lost or stolen card.

"Early research and focus group participants shared a great deal of frustration about losing value on their gift cards," said David Leeds, CEO and Founder of Tango Card. Tango Card for iPhone also has a unique wish list capability. Individuals use the wish list to capture items they would like to have, and then share these wishes via email or social networks. "We spent a great deal of time with gift card users to really understand what would bring value in this area. The wish list capability and how it can be used meet several key goals consumers outlined for us."
