Super Bowl Advertising Still Available for Small to Mid-Sized Businesses

TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 11, 2012 — In a month, Super Bowl LXVI on February 5th, 2012 in Indianapolis will be history. Yet TV commercials – which cost half a million dollars more than last year – have been sold out for some time! This cost eliminates most small to mid-sized businesses that would like to take advantage of the huge exposure but find the cost too much for a 30-second spot. AirSign Aerial Advertising provides a unique alternative. They are now offering a win-win Super Bowl advertising opportunity to such businesses.

AirSign has been a leading provider of aerial banner and billboard ads since 1996. "We are now offering companies an opportunity to fly their message over Indianapolis' events during the week preceding the game as well as on Super Sunday," says Patrick Walsh, president of AirSign. The first win is the cost. These ads will appear much longer through the afternoon and cost far less than even one 30-second TV commercial.

The other win is the fact that the Lucas Oil Stadium has a retractable roof that opens a four-acre window to the sky for all the fans present. Think of this as a window of advertising opportunity for, when that window is open, it will allow the fans to see a company's message flying above throughout the game, as well as before and after it.

Just what is aerial advertising? An airplane banner up to five-thousand square feet is printed on special material that can be towed behind an airplane. Helicopter banners are similar but can be much larger – up to fifty-thousand square feet – due to the upward pull. The plane or helicopter passes back and forth over popular events as people arrive, attend, and leave. This unique method of delivery and repeated impressions make the advertised message memorable.

Besides banners and billboards, AirSign is offering the opportunity to advertise a company's name or product on the side of an airship or blimp. These come in various sizes and can float over the open stadium for the entire game, offering the advantage of silent and safe hovering that extends the time of visibility.

A fourth option is skywriting. Using environmentally friendly smoke, a skilled pilot maneuvers a special plane to spell out a message. This phenomenon is so unique that many stop to watch it being formed, which causes the message to be even more unforgettable.

A few AirSign flight slots are still available. But, as with the TV ads, the offer is limited and customers will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Walsh concludes, "A company that is serious about tapping into the potential of so many people should ask itself, 'How would an AirSign ad in the sky over the Super Bowl help us reach our sales goal this year?' If we can help you succeed in this way, get in touch right away."
