Study: EGCG, an Ingredient of Natural Antiviral Gene-Eden, Kills Cancer Cells

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Sept. 22, 2010 — Researchers at the Capital Medical University in Beijing have found that epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), a compound found abundantly in green tea, is able to kill cervical cancer cells and prevent them from forming. The authors of the study state that EGCG "has shown its anti-tumor ability and perhaps as potential regimen for cancer patients(1)." This is great news for many women, as the National Cancer Institute projects that in 2010 over 12,000 women will be diagnosed with cervical cancer and another 4,000 will die from it.

However, before people rush out and buy green tea in all its forms, it should be noted that a hot cup of green tea has already lost most of its anti-cancer properties. When heated, EGCG changes into another, non-useful form. A healthier and easier way to consume EGCG is through the use of health supplements.

Gene-Eden is a supplement that includes EGCG in its effective form. The development of Gene-Eden was inspired by Dr. Hanan Polansky's theory on the cause of most cancers. According to Dr. Polansky's theory, the cause of most cancers is the DNA of latent (chronic) viruses. In line with Dr. Polansky's theory, studies have shown that EGCG has an antiviral effect, which nicely explains its anti-tumor effect.

Gene-Eden includes EGCG. But Gene-Eden is more than just EGCG. In addition to EGCG, Gene-Eden includes four other natural ingredients with a strong antiviral effect: Quercetin, Licorice Extract, Cinnamon Extract, and Selenium. These ingredients were shown to be effective against HPV, EBV, Hepatitis Viruses, Herpes Viruses, CMV, and other chronic viruses.

According to the original authors of the study, "Our results suggested that EGCG may be suitable for prevention and treatment of cervical cancer(1)." To conclude, if you are impressed with this study, and you wish to increase your consumption of EGCG, you might want to try Gene-Eden.

About:

The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD, http://www.cbcd.net) is a research center recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-for-profit organization. The mission of the CBCD is to advance the research on the biology of chronic diseases, and to accelerate the discovery of treatments for these diseases. The CBCD published the "Purple" book by Dr. Hanan Polansky. The book presents Dr. Polansky's highly acclaimed scientific theory on the relationship between the DNA of latent (chronic) viruses and the onset of chronic diseases. Dr. Polansky's book is available as a free download from the CBCD website.
