Stickybear Goes Mobile With Three New Educational iPhone Apps for Children

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C., Dec. 6, 2010 — Today, Optimum Resource announced the release of its latest App for the iPhone: Stickybear Numbers. The program provides hours of fun while teaching early learners numbers, counting, adding and taking away in both English and Spanish. Children begin discovering the building blocks of basic mathematics as they enjoy the lively animations. There are two activities, counting from 0 to 9, in both free play and structured mode, and counting from 0 to 100.

Stickybear ABC, just released for the iPhone, is designed to provide children with basic alphabet skills. Letters and words, with animations, are available in free play and structured mode, in both English and Spanish. There is more than one word for most letters and youngsters enjoy pressing their favorites. This helps them to learn the letters by the discovery method. In the structured mode, Stickybear asks the child to press a particular letter. Children learn by prompted direction in this activity.

The third program in the series, Stickybear's Matching Mansion, is more than an engaging memory game, it also helps children, ages three and up, learn to read. The action takes place in a Haunted Fun Park Mansion, with screechy bats, owls and assorted peculiar characters. There are three playing fields and seven levels of difficulty, from matching picture to picture to matching ending consonants.

All three programs, designed for children, ages three and up, are available on the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch at $0.99 each.

Stickybear educational programs have been used by tens of thousands of teachers and parents and enjoyed by millions of students for more than 30 years.
