Spooky Tale Chronicles Haunted House Adventures

Just in Time for Halloween, "Diana Help Me" Offers Thrills, Chills and More

RIVERWOODS, Ill, Oct. 27, 2009 — "I always thought living in an apartment in L.A. was bad. That is, until I got to this house." These are the thoughts of Karmen, the heroine and narrator of "Diana Help Me" (published by AuthorHouse), the haunting new novel by 12-year-old author Kieli Levin.

"Diana Help Me" tells the tale of Karmen's family — which consists of her mom and dad, sisters Heidi, Mackenzie and June; and one brother, Craig — and the supernatural adventures they encounter as they settle into a new home in Indiana.

The family was excited and nervous when job relocations forced them to move halfway across the country from Los Angeles and into an old farmhouse in rural Indiana. The very first night there, Karmen notices that something seems strange about the house. She is woken up by a strange voice calling her in the middle of the night. "Diana, help me!" the voice screams. "Diana, she's going to kill me!"

Follow Karmen and her siblings as they attempt to unravel the mystery of the disembodied voice. When an apparition appears, they become convinced that their house is haunted. What do these spirits want from them? Will the family be able to help, or are they in serious danger? Will they be forced to leave their new home?

Perfect as a scary read on a dark, stormy night, "Diana Help Me" will appeal to adolescent readers with its relatable characters and true-to-life dialogue. Discover Levin's distinctive writing style in the spooky pages of "Diana Help Me."
