SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Aug. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — ShipHawk, the online tech startup dedicated to making shipping easy, announced today that Charley Dehoney, former sales director for startup Cargomatic.com, and Ashley Becker, previous senior marketing manager of lynda.com, have joined the ShipHawk team.

Dehoney comes on board as ShipHawk's director of sales. Becker will serve as director of marketing.

The additions to the ShipHawk team represent two more exciting wins for the innovative tech startup that's seeing rapid growth and is receiving significant industry recognition.

Sales director Dehoney was the founder of the first Box Bros. franchise in San Diego and exited that business for 10 times his initial cash investment. He went on to work with another startup poised for success, cargomatic.com, where he grew revenues north of $2 million in less than nine months. His success at Cargomatic, an on-demand freight transportation marketplace, bodes well for ShipHawk as it works to revolutionize shipping.

ShipHawk CEO Jeremy Bodenhamer has high expectations for Dehoney, calling him "an industry veteran with an incredible reputation." He adds, "Under his leadership, we'll improve our carrier network and expose more customers to ShipHawk's revolutionary technology."

Marketing director Becker, formerly with lynda.com, brings an ideal balance of analytical prowess and marketing experience to the ShipHawk team. With no formal marketing department, Becker is tasked with building a team from the ground up. Her experience with all aspects of marketing, communications and data analysis at lynda.com, an online learning company, make her a great fit for ShipHawk.

"Becker is amazing. She is exactly the type of analytical professional we want spearheading our marketing strategies," explains Bodenhamer.

The new staff additions allow ShipHawk to prepare for scale. With its recent accolades and the launch of its business solutions suite, it's no surprise that recruiting top talent has become a key initiative. Bodenhamer describes the growing team as a "necessary step to establish the kind of leadership required to successfully disrupt an entrenched, trillion dollar industry."
