CHICAGO, March 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Rivers Ink, a new children's book publishing company, is looking to launch an exciting tour, "Turn the Pages," to encourage children to read for pleasure! The tour will engage young readers with characters from the 1st book of the village series, "The Spider that Grew and Grew," by participating in red carpet events with the author Jordan Rivers all around the schools in the Midwest area. Interaction with the author, pictures taken on the red carpet and book reading are all included in this unforgettable book signing! By children experiencing these events, they will be inspired to read, eager to expand their minds, and help create positive future outcomes in their life decisions.

Rivers Ink (http://www.riversink.com/home.html) is a publishing company focused on encouraging children to read. "Our mission is simple – to get more young people reading," explained Rivers. "We plan to do this by engaging children's imagination and sense of excitement. When children see reading, storytelling, and creativity as important parts of their lives, it can literally change their whole outlook. At Rivers Ink, we hope to build bridges between children's authors and their audiences in schools throughout greater Chicago."  For schools to set up author appearances, it is quite an easy process. First, school officials can call Rivers Ink to schedule a date. Next, the school and/or parents purchases books to accommodate students, so they can all enjoy the book signing and red carpet events. Schools are only responsible for books, taxes, shipping and handling fees; Appearance fees are not associated with these services. All book transactions can be made through www.riversink.com.

For every company that sponsors the "Turn the Pages" Tour, a percentage of the proceeds will go to our Charitable Partner, Bernie's Book Bank. Their mission is that they facilitate the collection, processing and redistribution of new and gently used children's books to significantly increase book ownership among at-risk infants, toddlers and school-age children throughout Chicagoland.
