RFID Journal Announces LIVE! 2015 Highlights

Business professionals from leading companies in every sector and from around the world gathered at the RFID industry's largest and most important event.

NEW YORK, April 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — RFID Journal announced today that more than 3,000 industry professionals came together at RFID Journal LIVE! 2015 (www.rfidjournalevents.com/live), the world's premier conference and exhibition focused on radio frequency identification (RFID) and its many business applications.

LIVE! 2015, RFID Journal's 13th annual event, was held on Apr. 15-17, at San Diego Convention Center in California. The event featured eight industry-specific and technical conference tracks, as well as seven in-depth preconference seminars and workshops, four post-conference seminars, the RFID Journal Awards, the Coolest Demo Contest, the RFID Startup Challenge, fast-track training provided by RFID4U, RFID Professional Institute certification and two co-located events (the Internet of Things Conference and IEEE RFID 2015). The exhibit hall featured 200 of the industry's leading technology firms, from 15 countries.

For this year's conference, total attendance increased overall by 8 percent, compared with last year's event, which was held in Orlando, Fla. About 34 percent more end user companies sent two or more representatives to this year's event, indicating a greater commitment to deploying an RFID solution. Attendees hailed from a record 60 countries this year, with the quantity of attendees from Asia up by 20 percent, due in part to the event's West Coast location.

"We are seeing more industries and more companies in each industry embrace RFID as a solution for tracking a wide variety of assets," said RFID Journal founder and editor Mark Roberti. "The technology is moving inexorably toward mass adoption."
