About the Author
Michel Cabanac recently retired from professor of the Department of Psychiatry & Neuroscience, Faculty of Medicine, Laval University, Quebec, Canada. He received a medical degree from Lyon, France (research thesis in 1961) and ranked first at France's national competitive examination for university professorship. He was an instructor of physiology at the University of Grenoble, France; a Fulbright Fellow at Yale University; an invited speaker to Neuroscience Research Program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston; a full professor of physiology at Claude Bernard University, Lyon; a Chairman of IUPS Commission on Thermal Physiology; and a professor of faculty of medicine at Laval University, Quebec. He has written 298 papers and articles.
