Premiere Hoops, Inc. Makes Hoop Dreams Come True

New Chicago-based basketball program kicks up in time for March Madness tourneys

CHICAGO, Feb. 2, 2009 — Having a place to play hoops, much less a professionally run program for amateur basketball players, is becoming harder and harder to find. And that's the motivation behind one Chicago-area man's dream. Through Premiere Hoops, Inc. (http://www.premierehoops.com), founder/president William Leach is creating a hoop-lover haven for people of all ages and abilities. His full-service, state-of-the-art, basketball complex is in the design process and slated for building in Joliet City, just 50 miles southwest of Chicago. In the meantime, Premiere Hoops is holding its debut March Madness Style Basketball Tournament, which kicks off this April at Chicago's Fosco Park (1312 S. Racine).

"Many basketball programs are getting squeezed out of the equation, as parks and recreational facilities are trying to balance the needs of all their users," Leach says. "Finding a place where people can just play basketball is getting tough to find. I'm trying to change all that through my Premiere Hoops complex, and I'm going to showcase right now, what to expect later, with our spring 'Invitation' to our first basketball tournament."

The March Madness Style Basketball Tournament runs April 11-May 2, 2009. Premiere Hoops will coordinate and manage the possible 64 team tournament, as well as track and post stats online, sell DVD copies of the games, provide shot clocks, and present winners with custom-made championship rings. The team entry fee is only $300, and registration is available through Premiere Hoops' Invitation webpage: .

In addition, Premiere Hoops is now announcing its summer and fall leagues. Both programs enable teams to play by NBA rules and for their favorite NBA organizations, as well as wear replica NBA uniforms. Registration per team is $750 for the summer league and $900 for the fall league, Each league will feature teams playing a round robin, regular season schedule, plus a "best-of-three games" play-off format for the summer or "best-of-five games" play-off format for the fall.

"Our members receive tangible benefits to joining the Premiere Hoops tournament and leagues, but the real advantage to joining us is that we're providing a playing experience that's second-to-none," Leach says. "People are seeking out a supportive environment in which to play hoops, and that's what we're offering and are all about."

The summer league runs May 30-Sept. 5, 2009, while the fall league runs Oct. 3, 2009 through January 2010. Games are scheduled for Saturdays at Chicago's Fosco Park. As with the tournament, Premiere Hoops provides online stats, championship rings and more.

Premiere Hoops is a proud supporter of the Proviso East Alumni Give Back Program, a food drive for residents of Maywood, Ill. Donations may be made through the Give and Go Drive weblink, featured at http://www.active.com/donate/GiveAndGoDrive.
