Port of Quincy Launches Campaign at National Tradeshow to Promote Quincy, WA as 'A Premier Location for Produce Packing, Shipping and Distribution'

Cold Train Promotes Pacific Northwest-Chicagoland Express Refrigerated Intermodal Service to-and-from Quincy at the Tradeshow

ATLANTA, Oct. 20, 2011 — The Port of Quincy (http://www.portofquincy.org) recently exhibited with Cold Train ) at the Produce Marketing Association (PMA) Fresh Summit International Convention & Exposition at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta (https://picasaweb.google.com/portofquincy/Oct2011ProduceMarketingAssociationTradeshowInAtlanta?authuser=0&feat=directlink).

The PMA Fresh Summit (http://www.freshsummit.com) is the largest tradeshow and exposition for the produce industry globally, with nearly 1000 exhibitors and more than 18,500 attendees from 50 countries in attendance. Many of the attendees are key produce industry decision makers, buyers, site selectors and supply chain representatives.

During the recent PMA Exposition/Tradeshow in Atlanta, many companies and participants expressed a strong interest in utilizing Cold Train to bring in fresh produce, frozen products and other perishable cargo from the Midwest (and eventually from the East Coast and Southeast) to the Port of Quincy Intermodal Terminal for distribution to various areas in the Pacific Northwest. The Port of Quincy will continue the momentum of its recent promotion efforts at the PMA Fresh Summit to recruit and attract packing, shipping, processing, warehousing and distribution companies to locate in the Quincy, WA area.
