Pembrook Capital Management Appoints Lisa Davis as Director With Focus on Investor Relations and Specialty Investment Originations

NEW YORK, Sept. 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — Pembrook Capital Management LLC (Pembrook), a commercial real estate investment manager that provides financing throughout the capital structure, including first mortgages, mezzanine, bridge loans and preferred equity for most property types, announced Lisa Davis has been named as Director of Investor Relations and Specialty Investment Originations.

Lisa will have an important dual role at Pembrook. She will interface with Pembrook's socially motivated investors, including regulated financial institutions, pension funds, endowments, family offices and high net worth individual investors. She will also originate investments that promote affordable housing, job creation and revitalization of underserved neighborhoods.

Ms. Davis has over 15 years of commercial real estate and development experience in philanthropic, nonprofit and for profit organizations, and has focused on improving housing and economic conditions in low-income communities throughout her career.

Prior to joining Pembrook, Ms. Davis served as a Program Officer at the Ford Foundation, Metropolitan Opportunity Program in NY where she helped place over $45 million in grants and nearly $10 million in program related investments annually for national initiatives. She was responsible for overseeing US-based affordable housing and community development finance portfolios, as well as impact investing work.  She sits on the Board of Directors for the Brooklyn Navy Yard and is a member of the Affordable and Multifamily Housing Council of the Urban Land Institute.

Earlier in her career, she served as vice president and project executive at New Boston Fund, a private real estate investment management firm, where she directed master planning, investment and development of over $300 million in mixed-use projects in Boston. Prior to that, she was director of development for the Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation and director of housing and development for the Asian Community Development Corporation, two nonprofit community development corporations in Boston.

Ms. Davis holds Master of Science in Real Estate Development and a Master of City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she was a Harry S. Truman Scholar.  She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
