The Ohio State University Selects Click Effects CrossFire and Blaze Systems

NASHVILLE, Tenn., July 23, 2009 — The Ohio State University is one of the most revered Universities in the USA, with one of the most prolific sports programs anywhere. The Buckeyes have enjoyed massive amounts of success in sports throughout the years. They also boast over 400,000 living alumni across the world.

Ohio State has recently purchased three Click Effects Blaze systems and a single-channel CrossFire SD system for the Schottenstein Center on the Ohio State campus. These systems are the virtual control center and focal point of the Buckeye live event presentation. Craig Brown, manager of video board operations at Ohio State's Schottenstein Center, discussed the Click Effects impact on his event production:

"We use a Click Effects CrossFire and three Blaze systems here at the Schottenstein Center here at the Ohio State University. One of our Blaze units drives our 360 Fascia board and another one drives our upper and lower rings, and a third Blaze system drives our 8 sided board. Our Crossfire, the backbone of our operation, is used to display graphics and animation that includes headshots and sponsor elements on our football and Schottenstein video boards, for hockey and basketball, and soon we're getting new systems for football at the stadium.

"Being able to run all of these boards with one click makes our jobs so much easier. AVI files, bitmaps, jpegs, they're all so easy to import, organize and arrange and there's no conversion necessary from an outside program. Hotkey remotes make our delivery even faster, too. The service is more responsive than anyone else we've worked with, to the point where we've had feature requests implemented within 5 days. That's why we always trust Click Effects."

Apparently, that trust has taken on a new dimension as the University has just purchased a new CrossFire and a new Blaze system for their legendary Football program.

Intuitive and extremely user-friendly, Click Effects systems give the end-user unmatched flexibility and substantial saving as they allow for easy training of personnel to use the system at a moment's notice. In addition, Click Effects allows their clients to earn considerable revenue through sponsorship of portions of an event, while at the same time, saving money through consolidation of equipment and of personnel.

Other clients and events that trust Click Effects to spearhead their live event entertainment include the Super Bowl, the Olympics, the World Series, the Stanley Cup, the NBA Championships, the Rose Bowl, the Final Four, the Indianapolis 500 and several NASCAR events. In addition, Click Effects systems are trusted by nearly 3/4 of Major and Minor League Baseball and over half of the NFL, NHL, and NBA.
