NITV Federal Services LLC Becomes World's First Company to Receive Three Patents for Voice-Related Technologies

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., Jan. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — The United States Patent Office has awarded West Palm Beach (FL) based NITV Federal Services LLC (http://www.cvsa1.com/) its third patent in truth verification/voice related technologies.  In 2008, Charles Humble, Founder of NITV FS, was awarded the company's first patent in forensic voice stress analysis, and in 2009 he was awarded a second patent.  NITV FS became the only company in the world to be awarded a second patent in forensic voice stress analysis.

Recently, James Kane, Executive Director of NITV FS, was awarded Patent #8,595,007, for "Voice Print Recognition Software For Voice Identification And Matching", making NITV FS the only company to be awarded three patents in forensic voice stress analysis/voice related technologies.

NITV FS is the manufacturer and sole source of the Computer Voice Stress Analyzer (CVSA), with the Final Analysis Confirmation Tool (FACT), the most widely used truth verification tool in the US law enforcement community.  The CVSA has been assisting law enforcement around the world in solving crimes and screening potential candidates for 25 years and has largely replaced the old polygraph in the US.

A newly published research study in the 2012 annual edition of the scientific journal Criminalistics and Court Expertise reports the accuracy rate of the Computer Voice Stress Analyzer (CVSA®) is greater than 95%, an assertion long made by the law enforcement users of the system.  The study's results are further bolstered by current US Government funded voice analysis research which has established voice technologies performed well for border security applications.

The 18-year field study was conducted by Professor James L. Chapman, the world's foremost authority on the application of Voice Stress Analysis technologies. The study, titled "Long-Term Field Evaluation of Voice Stress Analysis In a North American Criminal Justice Setting" was ground-breaking in that it validated the tremendous success of the CVSA in the criminal justice system.
