New Boat Rental Operation Now Open at Oregon's Loon Lake

WaveRunners, Pontoon, Water Skis, and Fishing Boats Now Available For Rental

REEDSPORT, Ore., May 29, 2008 — The popularity of active water sports in Oregon and boating at Oregon's Loon Lake draws boaters, personal watercraft riders and anglers to the beautiful Oregon Coast Range each summer. Loon Lake Water Sports & Marina, LLC, located at Loon Lake Lodge and RV Resort just east of Reedsport, Oregon, is now offering a complete line of boats and personal watercraft for rent by the day or hour. With the addition of this new marina and Oregon coast boat rentals operation, more campers and lodge guests are able to enjoy some warm weather fun on the water.

Fishing boats, a ski boat, WaveRunner personal watercraft, pontoon boat, and a wide selection of kayaks, canoes and four-person paddle boats are now available for rent, as well as accessory rentals to accompany these boat rentals such as water skis, inflatable tubes and kneeboards.

The dramatic topography around Loon Lake makes this scenic mountain lake an attractive destination for boaters. High mountains that surround the lake block the coastal winds, producing smooth waters that are popular for active water sports enthusiasts in Oregon. Each summer, the lake is visited by water skiers and wakeboard riders looking to enjoy Loon Lake's open water.

But for those who choose a self-powered water sports adventure, the calm, two-mile long creek that feeds the lake offers a peaceful place to explore nature. The natural setting of the lake is set among soaring Douglas Fir, Western Hemlock, and Red Cedar trees, and is a haven for campers, hikers and boaters.

Loon Lake offers all-day family boating fun, and the addition of this new Oregon boat rental operation makes this popular activity now available to the general public. While the lake has always offered plenty of space for exhilarating skiing and kneeboard excitement, the open water allows anglers to still find room to fish for bass and trout, including over 7,500 fish stocked at the lake this spring by Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. There are also plenty of quiet coves to anchor a pontoon or houseboat and enjoy the relaxing ambiance of Loon Lake.

Loon Lake Resort and RV Resort is located just minutes from the Oregon Coast and offers year-round vacation lodging and resort facilities with pull-through, full hook-up sites with satellite television, Wi-Fi, cabins and cottages with full kitchens, motel rooms, yurts and individual or group tent sites. There is also a general store and restaurant at the resort.

Reservations for Loon Lake's boat rentals, WaveRunner personal watercraft rentals and lodging can be made by calling (541) 599-2214. Information on the new Oregon coast boat rental operation at Loon Lake is also available on the web site at Oregon Boat Rentals.
