NetNumber Announces New President and CEO Brad Boston

Thirty-Year Tech Veteran and Former CIO of Cisco Joins Centralized Signal Routing Company

LOWELL, Mass., Sept. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — NetNumber, which provides a Service Delivery Platform (SDP) for centralized signal routing and database services to wireless and wireline telecommunications operators around the globe, announced the appointment of Brad Boston as president and chief executive officer.  Mr. Boston has been a member of the Board of Directors since April 2002.  He brings more than 30 years of relevant industry experience to his new role having previously served as CIO of Cisco Systems.

"We welcome Brad's experience and leadership to NetNumber," said Joe Farrelly, NetNumber chairman of the board. "In his new role as president and CEO, he will be responsible for positioning NetNumber for future growth and greater visibility in the telecom and networking industries.  His technology background combined with his experience as a C-level executive will play a pivotal role in defining our next-generation product suite, extending our track record of innovation and customer-focus, while helping us grow for the future."

"NetNumber has been steadily developing new technologies and growing its customer base among the wireless and wireline telecommunication operators globally.  Today, we are at the forefront of centralized signal routing.  The NetNumber TITAN platform fits into a carrier's current infrastructure – whether that be TDM or IP, and can be deployed to leverage new software defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV) architectures," said Boston.  "With the explosion of signaling traffic due to massive mobility, NetNumber is poised to help carriers better manage the transition to new IP services and deliver seamless connectivity to their customers.  I am excited to help position NetNumber for a future of growth."

Prior to Cisco, Mr. Boston served as the executive vice president of Operations at Corio, an enterprise-focused Internet ASP.  In this role, he was instrumental in redefining their product offerings and business model.  Previously, Mr. Boston was executive vice president of product development and delivery at the Sabre Group in Dallas, Texas.  Mr. Boston was brought to Sabre to strengthen the executive team in preparation for its spin-out from American Airlines, the historic transaction that created an IT firm valued at more than their former parent company.  In addition, he managed the early development, operations and support of Travelocity.com; led the largest system conversion in the airline industry when USAirways converted to Sabre; and architected the development and implementation of the first phases of a technology plan to modernize the Sabre system infrastructure and applications.

Mr. Boston also has held executive positions at American Express, Visa, United Airlines/Covia and at American National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago, where he began his career.

Mr. Boston holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from University of Illinois, College of Engineering, Champaign-Urbana, Illinois.   He also serves on the board of AAP3, an IT services company headquartered in the UK.
