Artist reception and book signing where iconic new De La Nuez pop art releases will be revealed
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 2, 2012 — International pop artist Nelson De La Nuez will be personally appearing at Legends Gallery of La Jolla for an artist's champagne reception on Saturday, August 11, 2012 from 6:30-9:30 pm. The De La Nuez "Pop Land" show will be comprised of limited edition pieces, pencil sketches, original works and brand new releases being shown for the first time. The artist will also be signing his "Pop Americana: The Pop Art of Nelson De La Nuez" coffee table books. The "Pop Land" show will run in its entirety from Friday, August 10th through Sunday, August 12th, with the artist's wide variety of work remaining at the gallery on a permanent basis.
"We are thrilled to have Nelson De La Nuez in person at Legends Gallery. He has been one of our most collected artists since we have had his art here. His unique take on pop art is impactful and refreshing. We have placed his works here in San Diego, across the United States and internationally. We eagerly await the new works to be shown at our event for the first time," says Roree Mayhew, Legends Gallery director. The reception will be catered along with champagne and wine and is in part sponsored by Qure water, which is the artist's favorite natural alkaline water for balancing the body's pH level.
De La Nuez is listed on the "Who's Who List of the Most Collected Artists of Our Time" and his pop art is sold in galleries and auctions worldwide. The artist is known for his distinctive trademark style called, "Art on the Edge," which is creating art on all sides of the canvas. He currently has De La Nuez King of Pop Art branded items that consist of high-end Icon leather purses, shoes and accessories, tailored shirts with designer Jared Lang, wallpaper collections for the hospitality industry and luxury homes and, soon, launching in upscale stores in August and September, his Heys USA luggage collections.
"Those who attend the Pop Land show at Legends can expect to see a good, wide variety of my work from the different collections and some brand new pieces that I will unveil for the time that evening.
