Multisite Church Technology Supports Growing Ministry Model

Church Community Builder (CCB) Adds Multisite Management Functionality

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Dec. 15, 2010 — Multisite churches have become one of the fastest areas of church growth and continue to be one of the best ways for churches to expand and reach out within and beyond their communities. With any growing organization, administering day-to-day management functions over multiple locations can cause even the most organized of church offices to become frustrated. Whether churches meet in a traditional church building, high school auditorium, vacant theater, or other borrowed space, and offer video cast services (live or pre-recorded), or in-person teaching on-site, chances are running multiple church campuses is complicated. That's why, Church Community Builder (http://www.churchcommunitybuilder.com), the original web-based church management software (ChMS), has become the first web-based ChMS to add full multisite functionality with robust leadership management options to churches.

"Since the multisite movement began in the mid-1990's, over 3,000 churches have embraced this model and their number is growing daily," says Jim Tomberlin, Founder and Senior Strategist of Multi-Site Solutions. "Outreach Magazine declared in 2007 that the multi-site model is no longer a trend, but the 'new normal.'"

Additionally, a survey by Lifeway Research in 2008 revealed that 45,000 churches "are seriously considering adding a worship service at one or more new locations or campuses in the next two years." In 2009, an estimated 5 million people, 10% of Protestant church-goers, attend a multi-site church on any given Sunday across North America.

Church Community Builder has become a scalable application, capable of managing and organizing multiple sites with an engaging and intuitive interface, as well as superior usability. Churches will now be able to engage their congregation more directly by offering campus-specific and customizable pages that foster a greater sense of community within their church as a whole.

"We understand the ability to effectively manage multiple sites is a struggle for the growing Church," says Steve Caton, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at CCB. "Our goal with these new capabilities is not only to offer better management tools to oversee multiple sites, but to give churches powerful new ways of engaging with and inspiring their growing congregations."

Some of these new features include the ability to view campus-specific and customizable reports, including tools to compile site-specific data into comprehensive church-wide reports. Church members will be able to log into a "home" campus and view groups, events, and other information relevant to their personal campus. Churches can establish per-campus check-in stations as well as track transfer attendance. Members will be able to donate online and these contributions will be managed on a per-site basis. Most importantly, there is no limit to the number of campuses that can be added, managed, and tracked.

CCB is proud and excited to share these new capabilities with clients so they feel at ease with a growing congregation and are confident in their ability to share Christ with an eager and expanding community. If you are already working with the Deluxe Version of CCB's ChMS, these powerful new tools will be offered at no additional cost. For churches currently on the Essential or Standard Plans, CCB's customer support staff is available to help churches evaluate moving to the Deluxe Plan to attain multi-site functionality. CCB is prepared for your questions with expanded customer support options, an online Help Center, and free Webinars.
