"In order for us to truly be a global company, we must operate on the ground in the U.S," said John Gupta, Olive's chairman of the board.  "We've had our CTO based in India for 17 years, but with Eric coming aboard and having him based in the U.S., we will be able to better address the needs and goals of our clients in this country."

Founded in 1996, Olive Technology serves faith-based nonprofit and for-profit clients by leveraging global resources, talent and technology. Since its founding, it has served clients in more than 10 countries with effective alternatives to traditional IT services. Services include web application development, mobile application development and website development, maintenance and enhancements.

Busby spent nearly three decades in the public and private sectors, which gave him innovative and dynamic senior technology leadership experience. He began his professional career at QuickStart Technologies, an Inc. 500 company, moved to chief information officer at Saddleback Church and most recently was a senior leader at Global Ministries Fellowship.

"Having a U.S.-based CTO is a critical shift for Olive," Busby said. "It means clients will have resources on the ground and available at all times. My leadership experience — being a client of Olive's while at Saddleback Church — will give me a unique perspective as I help set the organization's vision and standards, and more importantly, interact with clients and understand their needs."

Nicholson brings experience as an educator and as director of learning technology for Hope International University, where she managed and implemented a fully operational online education system. Her focus will be on user training and ensuring Olive's clients get the most out of their technology.

Olive's clients include leading faith-based organizations, including Saddleback Church, World Vision USA, Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ), David C. Cook and International Bible Society.
