Former Motorola CEO, Sun Microsystems COO Edward Zander Joins EagleView Board

WOODINVILLE, Wash., Dec. 15, 2008 — Edward Zander, the former Chairman and CEO of Motorola and former President and COO of Sun Microsystems, has joined the board of EagleView Technologies, the aerial measurement company that provides breakthrough measurement reports to the roofing, solar, fencing and other industries using detailed aerial photography to provide lengths, pitches, valleys and other hard-to-see areas more accurately than can be done by hand.

"We're honored and excited to have Ed as part of our team," says Chris Barrow, EagleView's CEO. "He adds significant depth and experience to our company as we move forward and grow to new heights. Ed is a legend in the business world.  It is truly humbling to have him as a member of our board.  His presence speaks volumes about our company and its growth potential."

Said Zander, "I'm thrilled to be a part of this new and exciting technology company. The aerial measurement space is in its infancy, and EagleView is in a leadership position with their technology and operational excellence. I am particularly bullish on their first usage category of the roofing industry to provide a professional and accurate service to help roofers win more business and improve profitability. EagleView's highly accurate and affordable measurement reports have created a bright future for this company."

Zander was CEO and Chairman of the Board of Motorola from January 2004 until January 2008, remaining as chairman until May 2008. Zander joined Sun Microsystems in 1987. He was promoted to CEO and then President in 1998 and 1999, respectively. He left in 2002 to become managing director at Silver Lake Partners, a technology investment fund. Today he serves on the board of directors of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he received a degree in electrical engineering, and on the advisory board of the Boston University School of Management, where he received his Master of Business Administration and later an honorary Ph.D.

EagleView's first product, the Premium Roofing Report, is targeted at insurance adjusters and roofing contractors.  With EagleView's reports, the roofing, remodeling, and construction industries have a tool for winning more business with more professional-looking presentations, and can maintain higher profit margins with highly accurate measurements. EagleView also helps its customers increase customer satisfaction by providing transparency around the measurement process for roofing, deck-building, fencing, solar heating, gutters and other projects where consumers and insurance companies have an interest in the estimating process.

Concluded Barrow, "With Ed's experience growing successful companies, we have added significant depth and experience to our team. The combination of that experience and EagleView's lead in this emerging aerial measurement market have positioned us very well for the future."
