Marlins, Cubs, Reds, White Sox Choose Click Effects

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 6, 2012 — The Miami Marlins, Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds and Chicago White Sox are the newest MLB heavy hitters to place their trust in Click Effects. With the season and the pennant chase in full swing, fans in these MLB markets are now seeing a new dimension in live event entertainment, thanks to Click Effects systems powering the show.

The Miami Marlins have chosen the renowned Click Effects CrossFire system to coordinate the live event video entertainment at the new Marlins Park, as they settle into their inaugural season in their new home. With a new name, new stadium, new logo, new manager and some brand new players, the Marlins are continuing to build for the future, even as they’re already in their new home.

Nestled comfortably in Miami’s “Little Havana” section, the 515-million-dollar, 37,442-seat ballpark is Major League Baseball's newest showcase stadium. Alpha Video was awarded the contract to integrate the control room that will power the ballpark’s LED, LCD and IPTV signage, which will help Marlins Park present a high-tech entertainment extravaganza with every event. The Click Effects CrossFire will anchor the delivery of video and audio content around the stadium.

“We’re extremely proud to have our latest technology in Marlins Park,” said Cliff Wight, VP for Click Effects. “The Marlins were the first MLB team ever to buy a Click Effects system and we’re happy to have a relationship with them that dates back to 1994, so in many ways, it’s a homecoming for us.”

Click Effects has also been chosen as the center of a new technology burst for the Chicago Cubs. The Cubs are utilizing a Click Effects Blaze system to feed content to the new fascia board that has been installed in Wrigley Field. This represents quite a leap for the Cubs from their history of day games, no lights and hand-operated scoreboards.

The Cincinnati Reds have updated their video delivery operations to include a new Click Effects CrossFire system at The Great American Ball Park. The Reds’ CrossFire is their second system, representing an upgrade into the world of HD video. The Reds had previously opened the Great American Ball Park using a Click Effects CrossFire SD system, and it’s an honor to be chosen again as the Reds go HD.

The Click Effects team welcomes the Chicago White Sox into the Click Effects world. The White Sox are now utilizing a new HD CrossFire system at the heart of their in-game video presentation. Jeff Szynal, the manager of video board operations and productions, is a veritable baseball historian who will make excellent use of the resource that CrossFire provides, much to the glee of White Sox fans everywhere.

Click Effects is indeed proud to be continually chosen within the sport of baseball, where 80% of all teams are now featuring a Click Effects system as part of their in-game entertainment.
