Leaks Hint at a New Smart Pen Called the Mimoto Pen Being Launched by a Philadelphia Tech Startup

Mimoto Tech's engineers used the latest video game technology to develop a fun way for students and working professionals to take notes and transform your computer or laptop to have touch screen capability.

PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — A team of engineers and designers from Mimoto Tech have been hard at work for the past year and a half, developing yet another innovative product for mass production. With help of visionaries like Andre Ivanchuk from Such Chaos™, Dr. Anthony Deese, Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a great team of engineers from ADORIASOFT, the first prototypes have been developed and have gone through rigorous testing procedures prior to mass production. "We are very excited to bring Mimoto Pen to the public. It's a great product with a lot of potential to revolutionize the way we look at note taking," stated founder Roman Gudzyuk. "Nobody really thinks about how or when they take notes, it's a habitual process and we just do it because we have to. But it's definitely a big part of our lives and can be very time consuming. That's why we decided to reinvent the wheel a little and created a fun new way of taking and managing notes."

Mimoto Tech has created a smart pen that automatically transfers anything you write on a piece of paper directly to your iPhone, iPad, Android devices, BlackBerry, MAC or PC, in real-time as you write it. It looks and writes just like any other ballpoint pen but uses high powered ultrasound and infrared sensors, just like the ones found in your popular gaming consoles to detect motion. Mimoto Pen's sensors are used to record your handwriting and transfer it in real-time to any one of your portable devices.

Another amazing feature of this smart pen is that by switching the receiver and attaching it to your computer or laptop the pen transforms them in to a touch screen display, and the pen becomes your stylus.

If you are interested in getting the Mimoto Pen, it's being launched on Kickstarter for preorders on February 22, 2014. You can also get the latest information and updates on the launch by visiting www.mimototech.com or www.facebook.com/mimototech
