OWENSBORO, Ky., Aug. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — A farm containing 733 acres of crop, pasture and wooded land between Madisonville and Henderson in Webster County, Kentucky sold at auction on July 30th.  The farm belonged to the Ogden Family Farm Partnership and sold in five tracts for $3,266,800 for an average of $4,457 per acre.  It had 511 acres of open land, 154 of which is under a CRP contract.  The balance was wooded land that was timbered 20 years ago.  Both homes, the farm buildings and grain bins were reserved in a life estate agreement.  All coal, oil and mineral rights were also reserved. The bulk of the cropland tracts sold in the $5,200 per acre range while the wooded land sold for $1,524 per acre.  Buyers included area farmers and a professional.  Jason Blue, Auction Project Manager, Kurtz Auction & Realty Co.
