Krupp Kommunications Places Two Books on NY Times Bestseller List

Publicity Campaign Launches Awkward Family Pet Photos and The Invisible Thread

NEW YORK, Nov. 22, 2011 — NYC-based book PR firm Krupp Kommunications today announced the debuts of two of their clients' books, AWKWARD FAMILY PET PHOTOS (Three Rivers Press, November 2011) and AN INVISIBLE THREAD (Howard Books, November 2011), onto the New York Times bestseller list. Both books were named to the prestigious list within one week of their book launches, with Awkward Family Pet Photos ranking #4 in the "Advice, How-To and Miscellaneous Paperback Best Sellers" list.

"It was wonderful to be a part of both of these book marketing projects, which each chronicle the beauty of the human experience in different ways," said Heidi Krupp, founder and CEO of Krupp Kommunications (http://www.kruppkommunications.com), an award-winning integrated public relations and marketing agency specializing in brand development for lifestyle, entertainment, and publishing properties.

"Awkward Family Pet Photos celebrates the best thing about being a pet owner, which is that they allow us to be who we want to be. An Invisible Thread shows us that anything can be possible if you step out of your comfort zone and open your heart," she said.

The sophomore book from producers and screenwriters Mike Bender and Doug Chernack, Awkward Family Pet Photos contains never-before-seen photos, essays, and graphics that celebrate the delightful relationship between pets and the awkward humans that love them. The authors' first book, Awkward Family Photos, was based on their immensely popular website AwkwardFamilyPhotos.com and spent 16 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list.

An Invisible Thread — The Inspiring True Story of an 11-Year-Old Panhandler, a Busy Sales Executive, and an Unlikely Meeting with Destiny, is Laura Schroff's first book and based on her own true story. Co-authored by People magazine features writer Alex Tresniowski, An Invisible Thread tells of how a spontaneous moment of compassion on a NYC street corner forever transformed the lives of two people who lived several blocks and yet several worlds from each other. The book was featured on "Rachael Ray" and in Parade.

AWKWARD FAMILY PET PHOTOS (November 1, 2011; Three Rivers Press; $15) and AN INVISIBLE THREAD (November 1, 2011; Howard Books, $25) are available online and at bookstores nationwide.
