Logano looks to continue run of strong finishes in races where No. 22 Ford Fusion features the "Call before you dig" phone number logo
INDIANAPOLIS, July 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Common Ground Alliance (CGA), the organization dedicated to protecting underground utility lines and the safety of people who dig near them, today announced that its logo for the free "Call 811 before you dig" service will be featured on the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Fusion at this weekend's Brickyard 400 in Indianapolis. This will mark the first time that the 811 logo will be featured on the decklid of the No. 22 Ford Fusion at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Logano has had strong finishes during the past two years with 811 on the No. 22 Ford Fusion, including wins at Texas and Richmond in April 2014, and most recently a second-place finish at Kentucky two weeks ago. The No. 22 Ford Fusion sponsor Shell, is a platinum sponsor of CGA and long-time supporter of the national 811 campaign.
This week's placement of the 811 logo on the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Fusion coincides with the "Champions of Safety Sweepstakes," hosted at www.facebook.com/Call811, which runs through Sept. 30.
The Champions of Safety Sweepstakes was made possible by sponsors that include Indiana-based Citizens Energy, Indiana 811, the Indiana Pipeline Awareness Association, NIPSCO, USIC and Vectren, as well as Arizona 811, Dig Safely New York, Energy Transfer, Enterprise Products, MISS Dig System and Pacific Gas & Electric.
The Champions of Safety sweepstakes gives fans a chance to win a VIP trip for two to the Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Oct. 10. The prize package features airfare, two nights' hotel accommodations, $500 in spending money, hospitality passes for the race, a tour of the Sprint Cup garage area, a meet and greet with Logano (pending availability) and access to the Shell-Pennzoil Pit Box on Pit Road.
Digging without knowing the approximate location of underground utilities increases the likelihood of an unintentional damage, which can cause serious injuries, service disruptions and repair costs. An underground utility line is damaged every six minutes nationwide because someone decided to dig without first calling 811, according to CGA data.
