About the Author
Elizabeth Scott, a Maine native, graduate of Florida Baptist College, volunteer missionary, extensive traveler and retired postmaster, now resides in Texas with her husband. She has written a collection of poems, one of which she received the Editor's Choice Award from the Distinguished Poets of America. "Adventures with Mama Scottie and the Kids" was featured at the 2009 Texas State Library Association Conference on Houston. Scott is currently writing her autobiography as well as two more stories in the Mama Scottie series. She is also developing a book about a soldier stationed in Iraq.
