Internationally Recognized New York Facial Plastic Surgeon Releases Full Length Rhinoplasty Video

Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Norman J. Pastorek documents rhinoplasty surgery to benefit patients and surgeons

NEW YORK, Aug. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Board certified plastic surgeon Norman J. Pastorek, MD, PC, FACS has performed almost 7,000 rhinoplasty procedures in New York City. Now people across the country are invited to view his rhinoplasty technique with his new full-length surgical video.

It is rare that patients have the opportunity to watch rhinoplasty surgery in its entirety. Very few full rhinoplasty videos are available, making Dr. Pastorek's video an innovative tool to better educate current and potential patients, as well as other surgeons, about the intricacies of rhinoplasty surgery.

"Rhinoplasty is one of the most demanding plastic surgeries and many people want to understand the nuances of the procedure before they choose to have surgery," says Dr. Pastorek. "Patients of mine who have seen this video have been surprised by how little bleeding is involved and how comfortable the patient is throughout the surgery. I hope it will be of value to people considering rhinoplasty plastic surgery."

Dr. Pastorek performs facial plastic surgery in New York City. For rhinoplasty procedures, he uses internal incisions (known as an endonasal or closed rhinoplasty) to reduce postoperative swelling and improve patient outcomes. His approach also includes a lightwave frequency treatment after the splint is removed to help speed recovery.

"I have had excellent success with the endonasal rhinoplasty technique," notes Dr. Pastorek. "My patients experience shorter recovery time and have increased satisfaction following the procedure."

Dr. Pastorek's vast facial plastic surgery experience makes him one of the top-rated New York plastic surgeons. He is also recognized internationally for his innovative techniques and pro bono teaching. For over two decades, he volunteered one day a week at a facial plastic surgery clinic to educate residents. Dr. Pastorek is also a director of the Facial Plastic Fellowship program at the New York University, College of Medicine.

"Education is large part of my mission as a plastic surgeon," explains Dr. Pastorek. "I hope that informing patients and other surgeons about my methods through this video will provide valuable insight into the rhinoplasty procedure."
