Interactive Web Services Unite Churches Around the World

Steve Gray, World Revival Church 'link up' with Canada, Holland and Finland

KANSAS CITY, Mo., March 20, 2012 — World Revival Church and churches of various denominations around the world will unite online Sunday, March 25, for "Revival Wired," a live, interactive church service. These services are unique because all churches engage and participate in collective worship, offering and sermons. Camera feeds and high-speed Internet connections allow each church to see the others, and share responsibility for parts of the service.

Led by Steve Gray, senior pastor of World Revival Church in Kansas City, the interactive service will begin at 10 a.m. CDT and can be seen at http://www.worldrevivalchurch.com.

"I wanted to create church services where we talk back and forth, worship together and pray for each other, connecting churches worldwide," Gray said.

The following churches participate monthly in Revival Wired, while new ones are joining each month:

  • World Revival Church in Kansas City, Mo.
  • Faith Alive Family Church in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada
  • Jyvaskylan Cityseurakunta in Jyvaskyla, Finland
  • Terebint Church in Punthorst, The Netherlands
  • Canadian Revival Center in Prince Albert, Canada
  • World Revival Church North, North Kansas City, Mo.
  • Strong Tower Worship Center in Ashland, Ky.
  • Fountain of Life Church in Panora, Iowa
  • Gate of Destiny Worship Center in Broken Arrow, Okla.
  • Freedom Life Center in Evansville, Ind.
  • Forward Church in Cary, N.C.

"Unique to this interactive connection is the relationship the churches share. There's no denominational, legal or financial connection," Gray said.

The result is an increased unity across denominational and cultural lines, and more energy and a feeling of encouragement as local church members connect.

Brent Rudoski, pastor of Faith Alive Family Church in Canada, said his life and ministry have been positively influenced by World Revival Church and the interactive services.

"It's awesome to interact with different churches all over the world!" he said. "It produces a lot of unity and strength with everyone pushing toward the same goal."

"Who would have thought you could be part of something global without leaving your home church?" Gray said. "It's exciting to be a part of."
