Adam will combine his experience of the North American market with IGEL's thin and zero client hardware and software solutions to take the company's regional expansion to its next level.

"As one of America's fastest growing thin client brands and Europe's number one provider of Linux thin clients, IGEL is perfectly positioned to grow its market share in North America," said Adam, who joined IGEL from his position as General Manager/VP Americas, Sales at Dell Wyse. "We aim to combine German excellence in engineering with US know-how to bring its fantastic thin and zero client hardware and management and conversion software to a wider marketplace."

Prior to joining IGEL and Dell Wyse, Adam had a successful technology track record with IT companies, including Citrix, Quantum and Intel.

IGEL thin and zero clients are a reliable, cost efficient and energy saving alternative to PCs. They increase data security and provide compliance with laws and regulations. Sensitive data is not stored locally and the use of USB ports can be managed remotely by the administrator. IGEL thin clients come without fans or rotating hard drives and are therefore much more reliable than PCs and increase the overall availability of IT. Their low energy consumption helps to reduce costs and CO2 emissions and combined with efficient remote administration software offers a fast return on investment. The introduction and roll out of Cloud Computing or virtual desktops or classic server-based computing becomes economically favourable when cost efficient IGEL devices replace PC's. Alternatively, old PC's can be converted to IGEL-like devices using the company's UDC2 software, substantially reducing the Total Cost of Ownership of the IT infrastructure.
