NEW YORK, Feb. 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ –Hipercept is pleased to announce the success of their holiday fundraiser, which went towards the sponsorship of iEARN-USA’s panel discussion. This was a community effort and Hipercept employees all around the globe donated towards the cause. The panel focused on the role of cross-cultural education in strengthening civil society in South Asia, West Africa and the U.S.

"It was our pleasure to work with iEarn and sponsor this event. The technology horizon is something we at Hipercept are very passionate about. It was a great opportunity to give back to a community that we are connected to and there are many benefits to promoting educational opportunities for the next generation," said Lisa Georges, Director of Human Resources at Hipercept.

Hipercept joined iEARN leaders from Bangladesh, Liberia, Mali, Pakistan and the U.S. for a discussion on how innovative cross-cultural exchanges and educational initiatives are helping to strengthen civil society in their respective countries by inspiring young people to think globally and act locally. Panelists also explained how programs, funded through the U.S. Department of State and created in response to 9/11, are fostering cross-cultural understanding between youth in predominately Muslim countries and the United States. Speakers will discuss the impact of "virtual exchange" on cross-cultural education. The panel was open to the public, and took place Monday, February 24, 2014 at 6 PM EST.
