Guy Kawasaki to Keynote MacTech Conference 2011

Apple IT Pros and OS X/iOS Developers learn the art of Enchantment as it applies to them

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., June 1, 2011 — MacTech Magazine, the journal of Macintosh technology, today announced that industry legend Guy Kawasaki will give the keynote speech at MacTech Conference 2011 (http://www.mactech.com/conference/), which will be held November 2-4, 2011 at the Sheraton Universal in Los Angeles, California. MacTech Conference is specifically designed for IT Pros, Enterprise, and Apple developers. The event is specifically designed to not only have the highest quality content from experts across the industry, but enhance the "people experience" as an immersive event filled with constant opportunity to network with peers and meet new people.

Guy Kawasaki is the author of the New York Times bestseller Enchantment: The Art of Changing Hearts, Minds, and Actions, and the former chief evangelist of Apple. Kawasaki has a BA from Stanford University and an MBA from UCLA as well as an honorary doctorate from Babson College. See additional information at

"We're thrilled to have Guy as our keynote speaker. Time and again, his books are not only insightful, but his exploration of concepts makes it easy for anyone to apply them to what they do. Guy's latest book, Enchantment, not only meets but exceeds that level," said Neil Ticktin, Editor-in-Chief/Publisher, MacTech Magazine. "At the last MacTech Conference, 100% of attendees said that they would recommend the conference. Having Guy speak is just one of many steps we're taking to make MacTech Conference 2011 live up to their expectations."

Similar to the 2010 event, MacTech Conference will have two separate tracks: one focused on IT, and one focused on programming/development. Sessions will focus on both desktop and mobile, with appropriate levels of attention paid to the Mac and iOS including iPhone, iPad and iPod. The schedule is packed with sessions, opportunities to talk to sponsors, as well as great opportunities to get to know your fellow attendees. Attendees will be able to take Apple Certification exams and get Apple Certified (for an additional fee). MacTech Conference will be a key opportunity to discuss the new features and realities of Mac OS X 10.7 ("Lion"), iOS 5 (for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch), and iCloud. Attendees can talk through their options with industry experts and peers, form strategies for adoption and support, and more.

We have a limited number of conference attendee spots and hotel rooms available. MacTech Conference is priced economically at $999 including food, a MacTech Magazine subscription, a schedule packed full of sessions, exclusive entertainment, and more. Attendees can save $200 on early bird pricing ($799) if they register by June 30, 2011.
