DLA Piper manager to share details at ILTA speaking session
NEW YORK, Aug. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — BA Insight, the leader in agile information integration, announced today that global law firm DLA Piper has deployed a foundation for Search-Based Applications by utilizing SharePoint and BA Insight's Search technology. DLA Piper purchased BA Insight's Longitude Search and Preview, Longitude SharePoint Connectors for several back-end systems (to make their content searchable within SharePoint) and TotalView for Legal.
DLA Piper turned to BA Insight in order to build an agile foundation for a Client and Matter Portal and other SBAs to support various practice groups with unique information management needs. BA Insight and FAST Search for SharePoint replaced the existing search platform that DLA Piper had used for many years. "When we started to dig into our evaluation, we realized that BA Insight's platform is beautifully architected for search-based apps," said Michael Tominna, Senior Manager of Web and Search Systems at DLA Piper. "We also really liked the BA Insight team and felt we could work well together on creating a new generation of search tools."
To date, the firm has implemented the Longitude components with TotalView. "TotalView has the potential to significantly impact our firm's productivity and give attorneys even more billable time back," said Tominna.
