AKRON, Ohio, June 2, 2008 — Next year marks the 50th anniversary of Akron, Ohio-based Sanford Rose Associates(R), which opened in 1959 and began franchising executive search offices in 1970. In 2005, the owner of the San Francisco franchise, Rich Carter, purchased the franchising company, SRA International, Inc., sold his home on the West Coast and relocated his family to Northeast Ohio.
Mr. Carter was a very successful scientist prior to purchasing the San Francisco franchise. His career started at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and moved on to DuPont Medical Products, Baxter Healthcare and Chiron Corporation. He was equally successful as a franchisee and built one of the largest offices in the Sanford Rose Associates network of executive search offices.
