Fred C. Goad, Jr. Joins Hubble Telemedical Board of Directors

Healthcare Services Industry Pioneer Brings Deep Experience to the Leading Retinal Telemedicine Company

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., June 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Hubble Telemedical, a healthcare services and information technology company, today announced that Fred C. Goad, Jr. has joined the company's Board as an independent director. Mr. Goad is co-founder and partner at Voyent Partners, a Nashville-based private investment firm. Mr. Goad has founded, operated, and invested in numerous successful healthcare companies during his career, including Envoy, Quintiles, WebMD, and HealthSpring.

Mr. Goad is the founder and former chairman and chief executive officer of Envoy Corporation, where he successfully built the company into the nation's leading provider of healthcare transaction services. Envoy was acquired by Quintiles in 1999 for $1.1 billion. Subsequently, Mr. Goad served as a member of the board of directors of Quintiles and as Senior Advisor to the office of the president of the transaction services division of the company. In May 2000, WebMD acquired Envoy from Quintiles for approximately $2.4 billion and Mr. Goad then served as co-chief executive officer of the transaction services division of WebMD. Mr. Goad's career also includes senior positions with UCCEL Corporation, Financial Institution Services, Inc. (now CompuCard International), Docutel (now Olivetti USA) and IBM Corporation. Mr. Goad was a founding investor in HealthSpring Inc., which was acquired by Cigna in 2011 for $3.8 billion.  Mr. Goad has served on the board of directors of numerous public and private companies, including Luminex Corporation, Informatics Corporation of America, and the Nashville Healthcare Council.
