AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 19, 2009 — New Era Portfolio has made the Inc. 500, Inc. magazine's annual ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in America. New Era Portfolio ( publishes, prints, frames, and distributes limited-edition fine-art prints for mass retail outlets and commercial interior designers. The company serves the business-to-business sectors of hospitality, retail, healthcare, and television and cinema as well as the general public through its site.

"Moving up almost 2000 slots on the list makes me proud of our team and what we've accomplished," said Joseph L. Garcia, founder and CEO. "It's great news in this current economy, to say the least."

Garcia attributes his company's success to the following:

  • Innovation. "We are constantly striving to reinvent ourselves to serve new markets and achieve faster delivery times with our new web-based solutions for blue-chip retailers and new printing technologies. The company in 2009 is dramatically different than it was even a year ago. We embrace change," explained Garcia.
  • Inclusion. The company's mission is fine art for everyone. "We effectively dominated the national market by offering limited-edition artwork for the price of a poster, changing the rules overnight," said Garcia.
  • Intuition. Garcia's staff reacts fast to changes in fashion, taste and color trends. "We provide our clients with the freshest, most relevant and ultimately sellable artwork," he stated.
  • Flexibility. Because every product is available in any size on canvas or paper, clients have a great deal of design flexibility. New Era can ship virtually all orders within 48 hours.

While Garcia is happy with his company's ranking, he shows no signs of slowing down. "We're aggressively exploring opportunities and plan to launch more web sites and form new strategic partnerships," he said. New Era Portfolio plans to move into brick-and-mortar retail and invest further in technology for production and fulfillment.
