RFID Journal's ninth annual event will focus on helping health-care providers understand how the technology can help them improve patient safety, hospital operations and supply chain efficiencies.
NEW YORK, Nov. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — RFID Journal announced today its final agenda for RFID in Health Care (www.rfidjournalevents.com/healthcare), the premier industry event focused on the use of radio frequency identification technology within the health-care industry. The conference and exhibition will be held on Dec. 4, 2013 at the Georgetown University Hotel & Conference Center, located in Washington, D.C.

- Stuart Grogan, the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center's radiology equipment manager, will share how RFID has improved efficiency and reduced costs for radiology vest inspection.
- Akira Nakamura, Sanraku Hospital's general manager, will present a session explaining how RFID can help improve patient safety and nurse work efficiency.
- Jodi Panzini, Concord Hospital's director of health information management,will discuss key aspects to consider when implementing an RFID supply chain management system, such as the one used at Concord Hospital.
- Adrienne Shepardson, Phar.D., the manager of central pharmacy services in the University of Maryland Medical Center's Department of Pharmacy, will share how RFID has reduced labor costs and provided a better understanding of hospital inventory.
