Filmmaker Shari Murray Galvanizes Supporters of The Gravity of the Situation Docudrama Focusing on Healing Sufferers of Child Molestation

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Jan. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Independent film editor and a twenty-year veteran in the field of post-production, Murray, has written a docudrama that takes one of the world's most shrouded and monstrous topics to the big screen. Murray will also produce and direct the movie aiming to benefit survivors of child molestation and begin a spiritual healing process.

"The Gravity of the Situation is a thought provoking feature docudrama that uses a Christ-centered approach toward the demoralizing and disruptive issue of molestation, which not only affects one person but families, communities, and the church as a whole," Murray stated on the film's FaithLauncher campaign. According to the Children's Assessment Center, most people think of adult rape as a crime of great proportion yet are unaware that children are victimized at a much higher rate. Nearly 70% of all reported sexual assaults occur to children ages 17 and under. Also, 3/4 of sexual predators are younger than 35. About 80% are of normal intelligence or above. -Profiles from the FBI Academy and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

Murray is offering donors to the film's production campaign insider updates including casting decisions, access to live filming, a chance to be an extra, signed movie T-shirts, blue rays, a film slate signed by the producer, and special screening opportunities. Murray's crowdfunding efforts on FaithLauncher are scheduled to complete on February 17, 2014. Donors are encouraged to take advantage of the limited opportunity to receive the above-mentioned rewards at the rates offered only during the campaign.
