EmptyLegMarket Opens up its Proprietary Empty-Leg Scheduling Software
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — EmptyLegMarket LLC, an online clearinghouse for empty-leg flights,www.emptylegmarket.com, announces today that it is opening up its proprietary empty-leg scheduling software in order to integrate with other private jet scheduling software systems.
The goal is to allow jet operators to easily fill their empty private jets by allowing them to use their own scheduling software systems, but have the empty-legs automatically post to EmptyLegMarket's central marketplace.
Jet operators will no longer have to separately log in to EmptyLegMarket just to post their empty-leg flight. Instead, through the API, jet operators' empty-leg flights will automatically be posted to the EmptyLegMarket's website and iPhone App. Retail customers can then directly contact the jet operator to pick a departure time and book the flight.
EmptyLegMarket does not charge a commission for any of these empty-leg sold through the system. Instead EmptyLegMarket charges a nominal yearly subscription fee to be able to post on-demand empty-leg flights to the system.
