Applied Answers will focus wholly on FileGenius®, its own brand of web-based file transfer solution. The company currently writes and maintains the code for 7 other web-based file transfer service providers.
The growth of the FileGenius® brand, while significant over the past 3 years, is still restricted by contractual and non-compete provisions that prohibit the company from expanding both its feature and market base, according to Keith Bumgarner, company president and CEO. Its customer base may expand by more than 50% in the coming year by ceasing development for other brands, according to Mr. Bumgarner.
FileGenius® is a widely used cloud-based secure file transfer and sharing solution available only to businesses and organizations. FileGenius® requires all customers to validate their legitimate business or organizational status and does not allow storage, transfer, or sharing of potentially illicit media files, such as music, videos, ebooks or software – unless the customer can substantiate a legitimate use for these types of files.
